The kids get to put a junior fire jacket and helmet on so bring your camera. .we'll even put the special siren's on.

With this package we have a maximum number of 10 people and minimum age of 5. This is due to the fact that they get a lot of hands on activity with the equipment and learning 2 fire drills. This is a great opportunity for parents to participate and bond with their children in a fun and exciting way.
Once all the training is done you get sent on a 'shout' involving a 2 car collision, where one of the vehicles is on fire and the other has persons trapped. You want to see there little faces as they turn up with sirens and blue lights on, pull the hoses off, advance forward behind their protective screen of water, rescue the casualties and knock the fire.
This is all perfectly safe. The fire is in the shell of an old car and we only burn about a 1/3 of a bail of straw. We also have a metal safety barrier 5m back from the fire.

We also offer the chance for 2-4 adults to come along free of charge and help supervise. You get to dress in real fire kit and take part in the drills. Our fire engine has 8 passenger seats so when we travel off site you need to follow in a car.

We are a group of firefighters most of us have worked on doing pre-entry selection tests for the Fire and Rescue Service. Our aim is to help you pass the firefighter selection process. Firefighter jobs can be very hard to come by with some applicants trying for several years before passing the firefighter selection process.
By coming on our course you give yourself a much better chance of getting selected rather than deselected as we'll go through each stage of the fire fighter selection process with you.
A key benefit of coming on our course is that we can show you what the instructors are looking for and show you some of the simple mistakes people make that get them deselected. Better you make a mistake with us so we can tell you rather than do it on the day when your going for your dream job.
Some fire service's only recruit every 1-2 years so it's vital you know where to look when they are recruiting firefighters as some fire and rescue service's no longer advertise in the local papers for firefighters and only issue a certain number of application forms.
Our 2 day course guides you through each part of the firefighter recruitment process. For more details on each of the stages and what we'll do for look at Stage 1 Application Stage, 2 Written tests, Stage 3 physical/job related tasks, Stage 4 Interview, Stage 5 Medical. We are also running female firefighter courses.
No need to leave the family at home. We are based Just off junction 36 of the M6 motorway on the edge of the lake district. We suggest if your coming with your family they can drop you off for your training each morning then go off for the day, as there are lots for them to do. On the Final day you'll get to demonstrate some of the things you've learnt to them and have a presentation ceremony with refreshments.
